Mind Theory runs CapCut video editing workshops for Singapore secondary schools. Sessions are designed for students aged 12 to 16 and delivered in flexible 2-3 hour blocks, tailored to your school’s timetable. Past school partners include Pei Hwa Secondary School. How the Workshop Runs
We have delivered this workshop in several formats, depending on the school’s scheduling and learning goals:

CapCut runs on any modern laptop with a mouse, so students can bring their own devices. Schools do not need to install anything in advance.
Curriculum Details
Session 1 – Storytelling, Editing & Shooting Fundamentals
Video Types, Framing, composition, script, story structure. Students proceed to shoot their footage after the 1st session using phones or school cameras.
Session 2 – CapCut Editing Essentials
User interface, explanation of tools, practicing editing cuts and pacing, syncing to voiceover, music and audio levels, Students start editing their footage into a sequence.
Session 3 – CapCut Deep Dive
Adjusting industry-spec music and audio levels, titles and captions, transition effects, AI voiceover, and export settings for different platforms.

No prior experience is required. The curriculum is designed for complete beginners. Students who already edit videos at home will still learn new techniques - the session flexes for mixed-ability classrooms.
